Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping
When will I receive my order?
Most of our products are made to order with an approximately 12-14 week lead time until they are ready to ship. From there, it can take between 1-4 weeks for white glove and threshold delivery, and 5-7 business days for parcel shipments. If you need your furniture by a specific date please contact us ahead of time so we can work with you!
How long does shipping take?
White glove and threshold deliveries have a transit time of approximately 1-4 weeks depending on your location. Parcel shipments will be delivered in 3-7 days. We ship from California.
Will my order ship with white glove delivery?
Large items like dining tables, beds, media cabinets, sideboards, and large coffee tables ship with white glove delivery. Smaller items like accent tables or chairs ship threshold or parcel. We choose our shipping methods carefully to ensure your furniture arrives safely. Check each product page to see the delivery method for that particular piece.
Returns
Can I return my order?
If you aren’t 100% satisfied with your new furniture, contact us within 5 days of delivery for a refund. The products must be returned in their original packaging (feel free to add additional packaging if necessary to keep the product adequately protected in the return journey). Please note that customers are responsible for return shipping fees and a restocking fee: 25% if the item was in stock, 50% if the item was made to order. That fee may increase if the item is returned in poor condition.
How do I ship furniture back to you?
If you decide to return an item we will work with you to coordinate the pick-up of your item, or send you a return label. The cost of the return will be deducted from your refund.
Product Care
How do I care for my wood and bamboo furniture?
• Avoid excessive direct sunlight. Do not use outdoors or in sunrooms
• Protect furniture from extremes or drastic changes in temperature or moisture. Place furniture away from heat sources, air conditioners, and humidifiers
• Dust regularly with a soft clean cloth. Wipe gently along grain direction when cleaning or polishing
• To prevent change in surface sheen, avoid rubbing vigorously
• Blot spills with a clean absorbent cloth promptly and thoroughly
• Lift objects on furniture to move them. Do not drag or slide objects on furniture surface
• Use coasters, trivets, placemats, etc. to protect furniture from heat and moisture
• Use felt pads under sharp, heavy or hard objects placed on furniture
• Sharp objects like pet claws, metal jewelry, keys, buckles, buttons, etc. may damage the furniture surface
• Rubber, vinyl, or plastics may react with some finishes if left on furniture
• Avoid direct contact with alcohol, solvents, nail polish remover, air fresheners, and other harsh chemicals
• Furniture polishes with no waxes, silicones, or abrasives may be used
• Avoid ammonia-based cleaners on Nicia oil finishes. As needed use a clean cloth dampened with lukewarm water and mild soap, or a solution of 1 oz white vinegar per quart of water
• Damaged, exposed bare bamboo or wood must be repaired before applying furniture care products
• Test furniture care products on an inconspicuous area first — follow instructions on the label
• Apply care products to a clean cloth before using on furniture. Do not spray or apply directly on furniture
• Store table leaves horizontally in a closet or cabinet near the table.
How do I care for my leather furniture?
• Follow “BambooTimbre™ and Hardwood Indoor Furniture Care” above
• Magazines, newspapers, or dyed clothing fabric may rub off and transfer color onto the leather
• To remove slight stains, prepare a lukewarm water solution with mild soap. Sponge the whole surface sparingly, evenly and quickly. Dry immediately
• For more complicated situations consult professional leather cleaner.
How do I care for my upholstered furniture?
• Brush off any loose dirt swiftly to prevent embedding in the fabric
• Blot spills with a clean absorbent cloth promptly and thoroughly
• Light or spot cleaning:
1. Prepare a solution of 2 ounces mild soap per gallon with lukewarm water
2. Use a sponge or soft bristle brush to clean — do not over-wet
3. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
4. Blot excess moisture with a clean soft cloth, towel, or sponge
5. Air dry
• DO NOT use a steamer or steaming iron
• Use a professional cleaning service for more extensive soiling.
I've scratched my table, what do I do?
The appearance of small scratches can be reduced using touch-up marker. Try professional valve-style markers from brands like Guardsman, or brush tip art markers from brands like Prismacolor or Tombow. Spot the color on then blend by touching gently with your fingertip.
